The 3 Big PCAT Test Secrets That They Don't Want You To Know

The Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT) is probably one of the most difficult tests you are going to take as a pre-pharmacy student. Why? This 240 multiple-choice questions exam covers an array of topics such as biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, verbal ability, reading comprehension, quantitative ability and 2 writing sections. Taking approximately 4 hours to complete, the PCAT is not only a comprehensive exam but one that requires concentration, stamina, endurance and accuracy. Without any of these qualities many students can kiss their dream of sitting in pharmacy school and becoming a pharmacist: GOOD-BYE!

The 3 Big PCAT Test Secrets that they don't want you to know are:

1) Study Early - This can not be stressed enough. Covering over 6 sections of heavy college materials is very daunting task for any student to do. That is why the earlier you study, the better prepared you're going to be for the PCAT exam.

2) Don't use textbooks - Are you really going to restudy what you just learned in the past 2-3 years in just 3-4 short months? That is too much to ask for anyone and should not be utilized by any pre-pharmacy student. Instead, use study guides, for your preparations.

3) Take the PCAT tests as soon as possible- This is a crucial fact for many pre-pharmacy students. Take the exam only when you have finished taking ALL of the classes above. Why? Taking the exam immediately after finishing the classes will make the materials fresher in your mind but also, will help you reduce your study time. Imagine taking the PCAT exam, 2-3 years after taking your required classes. And restudying for it. It is going to be more difficult to do this than taking it when you have finished with the classes.

These are the 3 Big PCAT Secrets that they don't want you to know. So use it and you may someday get into the pharmacy school of your choice.
